Captive Wolf Facilities in North America

Rami Howling at Mission:Wolf

Finding wolves in the wild is a wonderful and memorable experience.  However, if you want to get an up-close look at these elusive creatures, you better head for a captive wolf sanctuary or local zoo.  Listed below are well-known and respected facilities that specialize in caring for wolves and educating people about them.  Many of these organizations rescue unwanted pet wolves and wolf-dogs, conduct scientific research, and/or work to conserve wolves in the wild.  Regardless of their specific focus, each and every one of these facilities relies on donations and the support of their visitors to continue operating.  So, take a couple of hours or a couple of days to get to know the captive wolves, leave a donation behind, tell your friends and family about the experience, and then please take whatever action you can to protect wild wolves.
